What Happens if a Publisher Misses a Deadline?
Timely delivery is important for smooth campaigns and maintaining trust between clients and publishers. When a publisher misses an agreed deadline, the following steps are usually taken:
Immediate Follow-Up
The team will reach out to understand the reason for the delay.
A revised timeline will be requested to complete the order.
Grace Period
A maximum grace period of 24 hours may be allowed for unforeseen delays.
This provides some flexibility while keeping accountability intact.
Failure to Deliver
If the publisher still doesn’t deliver within the revised timeline, the order may be:
Cancelled without payment, or
Reassigned to another publisher.
Repeated Delays
Frequent delays can impact future collaboration opportunities.
In some cases, the publisher may be removed from the marketplace
Proactive Communication
Clear communication is important.
Publishers are encouraged to inform the team in advance if they anticipate any delay.
